Why I think about GLEE

Ngayon nalang ako ulit nagblog. Ang dami ko nang thoughts na naiisip na di ko nalalabas because the status bar in facebook isn't really working. FB notes? Naaah. So since there are so many things that I hate, I just decided to put it all down here on this blog.

What is Glee? Glee is the show about high school kids basically doing what high school kids are supposedly doing (getting pregnant, coming out of the closet, doing drugs, taking the glee club seriously enough to have a drama-comedy show about it). The main actors are basically looked down on by other students since the glee club has a reputation of harvesting nerds and geeks (they now refer to as "gleeks").

At first, the show claimed it wasn't like any musical you've seen before. No sudden singing in the middle of an argument, no musical number whenever it rained, and especially no moving sets. They sang because they had to; A rehearsal, an act, show, whatever. Basically, it wasn't anything like High School Musical, which I actually think is better since walang arte arte, kanta kung kanta, random kung random, just like how ACTUAL musicals are supposed to be. When you say musical, importante yung element na bigla nalang magbbreak into song and dance, getting that warm fuzzy feeling whenever the actors reach the climax of the song, and just having an overall out-of-reality feeling. Glee eliminated that element making it not really a musical, but simply a show bombarded with song and dance rehearsals. It's stupid. I think they ran out of why-do-we-need-a-rehearsal-again ideas, so little by little they added random musical numbers like the teacher guy suddenly having a song and dance before going to sleep, or the famous 2nd season appearance of Charice Pempenco (or however you spell it) where this brunette (the girl with the really strong male features) suddenly sings in the bathroom, or the time that same brunette was in the auditorium with her mom singing Lady Gaga's Poker face. Woah, hold on. Your mom knows all the words to poker face?

The show has many different characters from different states of life. There's the cheerleader, the jock, the paraplegic, the fat one, the gay dude, the Asian girl, it's like halo-halo over there, man. Let's say that's just how the show is supposed to be; everybody helping each other out and being nice no matter how dominating you could be walking down the hallway while shoving nerdy kids in their lockers. Man, that would be so gay in real life. Sorry guys, but that just would never happen.

Lets cut it here for now. Those are just some of the things that I noticed about glee. I don't know about your opinion, but I think Glee is trying too hard. Cut the crap Glee staff. End it with the fat girl dying or something.
